Earth Day - April 22nd

Earth Day is on Thursday, April 22nd and is a great opportunity to take advantage of some of the environmental learning events that may be occurring in your community. To see if your community has an event planned during this month, click here: Earth Day Canada: Events

For students who are on the Standard program using ACE curriculum, April is an ideal month to complete the assigned Health and Career activity for the 4th quarter. This activity has an environmental focus and will work well with any Earth Day discussions, readings or activities.

For students who are on the Individualized program, the following websites may be of interest:
EcoKids - Online kids activity site and teacher resource site. Homeschooling parents can sign up to access the teacher resource materials.
Top 10 Actions - A list of environmental actions that would work well as a springboard for discussions with your child.
